‘Heartstrings’ is an anthology series produced by Magnolia Hill Productions and Sandollar Productions in association with Warner Bros. The eight-part series is based on Dolly Parton’s iconic songs each episode will exist separately from the others, with different characters and different stories. Parton will serve as the singer and songwriter for the series, and in previous statement, she said, “I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favorite songs to life with Netflix.” The show is all set to air on Netflix on November 22, 2019.

Four of the episodes (If I Had Wings, Jolene, Down From Dover and Two Doors Down) will be based on some of Parton’s classic hits, while the other half (These Old Bones, JJ Sneed, Cracker Jack, and Sugar Hill) will feature original songs and stories. “Songs, they’re just stories put to music,” Parton says in the trailer. “The songs that I’ve written, they’re stories of my life.
