The Accident Premiere Date on Hulu; When Does It Start?
The Accident is an upcoming drama series written by Jack Thorne who won many awards including several BAFTA for the hit shows like National Treasure in 2017, The Fades in 2012, ‘This is England ’88 in 2012, Don’t Take My Baby in 2016 and This Is England ’90 in 2016. There is no doubt that the best acting, excellent screenplay, and veteran direction will also make ‘The Accident’ famous. It is all set to air on Hulu on November 22, 2019.
The Accident centers around a small Welsh community torn apart when an explosion at a building site causes a factory block to collapse with a group of teenagers trapped inside. The long-held bonds between families and friends are thrown wide open as an inevitable blame game begins. While the storyline is fictional, the real-life tragedy of the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire, which killed 72 people, looms large in the background.
Sarah Lancashire plays Polly Bevan. Former Coronation Street star Sarah Lancashire appears in all four episodes. Having previously worked with Jack Thorne on his previous four-part drama ‘Kiri’ Lancashire says his writing was what drew her to The Accident. In an interview, she said: “I love Jack’s voice. I love what he’s trying to say. He’s a fearless writer and in this he deliberately questions. That is what’s so interesting about it. He’s not afraid to explore difficult places, particularly in this where the public and the private and the political all collide, and then he’ll focus on it, even more, put more pressure on it by putting a media spotlight on it too.”
Other stars in the series are Sidse Babett Knudsen, Mark Lewis Jones (Chernobyl, Carnival Row), Joanna Scanlan (Getting On), Adrian Scarborough (Killing Eve), Ruth Madeley (Years and Years, The Rook).
Hulu has published a trailer on November 6, 2019 along with a short description, “In a community left behind, a large construction project offers hope for a better future. But that disappears when a local politician’s rebellious daughter leads friends onto the site. An explosion causes the building to collapse, killing everyone but her.
